ماوراء جبال الهمالايا .. Beyond the Himalayas

في خلف جبال الهمالايا كانت تختبأ ولاية صغيرة وكان يحكمها رجل كبير ذو خبرة ووقار ولكن المرض كان قد انهكه وأحس بقرب نهايته وقد كان للحاكم ولد وحيد شاب في سن الطيش والمراهق وذات يوم أمر الحاكم ابنه بالحضور وقال له يا بني: اني احس بقرب نهايتي وسأوصيك بوصية وهي ان ضاقت بك الحال يوما ما وكرهت العيش فاذهب الى المغارة المظلمة خلف القصر وستجد بها حبلا مربوطا الى السقف اشنق نقسك فيه لترتاح من الدنياوما كاد الحاكم ينتهي من الوصية حتى اغمض عينيه ومات أما الوارث الوحيد للثروة فقد أخذ يبعثرها ويسرف ويبدد على ملذات العيش وعلى رفقته السيئه التي طالما حذرو ابوه منها وبعد برهه وجد الابن نفسه وقد نفذت تلك الثروة الهائله وتغير الحال وتركه اصحايه الذين كانوا يصاحبونه لأجل المال فقط حتى أقربهم من قلبه سخر منه وقال لن اقرضك شيء وانت من انفق ثروته وليس انا،لم يجد الشاب ملاذا وما عاد العيش يطيب له بعد العز فهو مدلل متعود على ترف الحياة ولا يستطيع ان يتأقلم مع الوضع الحطيط، فما كان منه الا ان تذكر وصيةأبيه الحاكم وقال آآآه يا ابتاه سأذهب الى المغارة وأشنق نفسي كما أوصيتني وبالفعل دخل المغارة المخيفة والمظلمة ووجد الحبل متدليا من الاعلى فما كان منه الا ان سالت من عينه دمعة اخيرة ولف الحبل على رقبته ثم دفع بنفسه في الهواء
فهل مات؟
هل انقضى كل شيء ؟
هل هي النهاية اليائسة ؟
ام ان الحال مختلف ؟!

نعم فما ان تدلا من الحبل حتى انهالت علية أوراق النقود من السقف ورنين الذهب
المتساقط من الاعلى يضج بالمغارة وقد سقط هو الى الارض وسقطت بجانبه ورقه
كتبها له ابوه الحاكم يقول فيها يا بني قد علمت الان كم هي الدنيا مليئة بالامل عندما تنفض الغبار عن عينيك وتدع رفقاء السوء وهذه نصف ثروتي كنت قد خبأتها لك فعد الى رشدك واترك الاسراف واترك رفقاء السوء

صدق رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم "خذ من صحتك لمرضك ومن شبابك لهرمك"

 There hid a little state, governed by a man of great experience and dignity. But illness had weakened him and he felt near his end. This governor had one son, who was in his reckless and youthful years. One day, the governor summoned his son and said to him, “My son, I feel my end is near, and I will give you this advice: Should you reach a difficult point one day, where you have despaired of life, go to the darkened cave behind the castle and you will find a rope tied to the ceiling. Hang yourself from this rope to release yourself from this world.” As soon as the governor had uttered these words, he closed his eyes and died.

The only heir to the fortune took to spending his wealth on the luxuries of life and on evil company, who his father had always warned him against. After a short while, the son found that his great wealth had run out, things had changed, and his friends, who were only interested in his fortune, had left. Even those closest to him mocked him and said they would not lend him any money as it was he who had spent his fortune, not them. 

Life ceased to be pleasurable for the young man, after he had been accustomed to all its splendors. For he was spoiled, used to the luxuries of life and unable to adapt to his lowered circumstances. At that moment he remembered his father’s advice and said, “Oh dear father, I will go to the cave and hang myself.”

So he entered the dark and frightening cave, found the rope hanging from up high and, after shedding a last tear, wrapped the rope around his neck and pushed himself into the air.

Did he die? 

Was everything over? 

Was this the desperate end? 

Or was the situation different?!

Yes! It was different! For as soon as he was hanging from the rope, the cave was flooded with fluttering banknotes and tinkling pieces of gold, which fell from above. He dropped to the ground and next to him landed a letter written by his father the governor, which said, “My son, you have now learned how the world is filled with hope when you shake the dust from your eyes and let go of your evil companions. Here, I have kept for you half of my fortune. So return to your honorable ways, and leave your extravagance and your evil companions behind. Believe in this "save from your health for your illness, and from your youth for your old age"
